Area Coordinator for the Grove and Cross Canyons

Hello! My name is Pablo Brito (He/Him/El) I am coming to ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó from Oregon State University, where I was working as an academic advisor with the School of Psychology. I was born in Oregon and have spent the majority of my life around the Willamette valley (think an hour south of Portland) in a super small town called Mt. Angel and in a city called Salem (our state's capital). My parents are from Mexico, specifically from the state of Morelos, about two hours south of Mexico City. I try to visit my family in that area at least once a year.

Some fun info about me! I am super into cooking (Mexican food is my specialty) and like to try new recipes (even when I fail, I learn something new about the process), love adding new vinyl to my record collection (yes, I own a record player), love live music, and I spend time running outside.

Liz Galioto

Area Coordinator for Naito, Sullivan, and Bragdon
Hi there! My name is Liz Gailoto (they/they/theirs). I grew up in Southern California and graduated from the University of La Verne (ULV), where I was involved in every extracurricular activity I could be, while earning my B.S. in Sociology. At ULV, I discovered my passion for Student Affairs and helping students and student leaders have a positive college experience.

Before coming to ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó, I moved halfway across the country to attend graduate school at the University of Minesota-Twin Cities (UMN), a state I had only visited once before and a university had never stepped foot on. At UMN, I worked as an Assistant Resident Director, helping oversee a residence hall of over 750 first-year students, while also being a full-time student earning my M.A. in Organizational Leadership, Policy, & Development in Higher Education. California will always be home, Minnesota holds a special place in my heart.
Now, on my second cross-country move to Oregon, I live on campus with my fiancé, Liam, and our two cats Digby and Bing Bong. We're all loving life in the Pacific Northwest visiting new coffee shops, stargazing, enjoying local art, and exploring nature. When I'm not out exploring Portland with Liam, you can catch me playing video or board games, reading (usually a queer romance) or, crafting with whatever my current hyperfixation is that week.
I'm excited to be here at ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó with all of you! If you'd like to schedule a meeting with me, you can do so here:

Sommer Ireland

Area Coordinator for ODB and the Language Houses

My name is Sommer Ireland (she/her/hers), and while I've lived in 8 states, 1 federal district, and 2 European countries, I'll always call South Carolina home. I've been working in higher education since 2019 in both academic and student-life capacities. My two passions as an undergraduate student were studying abroad and my work as an RA, so I feel lucky to have worked in both study abroad and residence life for my professional career. Before ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó, I worked for Colorado State University in their University Housing department, and at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as an Education Abroad Coordinator.

I live on campus with my fiancé and dog Ocean. After work, Ocean and I go for our daily walk/run, and then I enjoy unwinding with a good book (typically fantasy), or watching an intense medical drama to remind me that my life could be much more stressful than it is! On the weekends, I try to take advantage of the beautiful nature of the PNW by either hiking, visiting the coast, skiing during the winter, or visiting wine country in the Willamette Valley. I also love traveling, astrology, tarot cards, and being an auntie to my nieces and nephews.

Megan Simón

Area Coordinator for Apartments, Garden House, and FSM

Hi There, Hello!

My name is Megan Simón (she/her/hers), and I was lucky enough to have grown up right here in Portland, Oregon. I graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Social Sciences in 2022 and am now working on my masters degree in Educational Policy and Leadership. Before coming to Residence Life I worked at ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó in other capacities, both in the Student Life Office and the Office for Student Engagement. I also serve as the Director of where I am in charge of curating the organization's yearly educational opportunities and conference sessions.

I am excited about helping students successfully navigate processes and systems through advising, programming and project management. Throughout my career I have maintained a particular interest in accessibility and equity, working to facilitate conversations around supporting students with disabilities beyond the classroom.

I live with my husband, son, and our pets, Doodles and Mochi. For fun, we love taking road trips through eastern Oregon, playing cribbage, watching bad reality tv, and perusing the nearest record store.

Office Hours: Student Center 114, Every Wednesday from 1–3 p.m.

Your house advisor (HA) is one of the first people you will meet at ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó. These returning students are selected for their skills and interest in helping fellow students, and are trained in areas such as peer counseling and conflict mediation. They act as an excellent resource for questions about academics, campus life, and Portland in general. HAs also help to bring students together by organizing activities such as movie nights, pizza parties, study breaks, provocative talks, excursions around Portland, and trips to the coast or the ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó ski cabin with the students of their residence halls. At least one house advisor lives in every residence hall.
