Edward Devecka ’49

Edward Devecka ’49, September 9, 1994, in Portland. He entered ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó in 1942, but left to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II, returning to continue his studies in 1946. For most of his career, he was an advertising salesman, primarily for the Oregonian newspaper. He married Carol Kernahan in 1949 and they had four children, whom he raised after his wife's death in 1963. He was active in civic affairs and served as a vice president and a director of the ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó aumni association from 1963 to 1965. Survivors include two daughters and two sons.
