Charles Alois Arnold AMP ’44

Charles Alois Arnold AMP ’44, April 21, 2005, in Stayton, Oregon. Charles attended ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó in the Army premeteorology program, later earning a BS in electrical engineering and a credential in secondary education from California Polytechnic State University. Charles asserted that the mathematics courses at ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó determined his career in engineering. "Without a doubt, he [F.L. Griffin, mathematics 1911–56] was the best teacher I have ever had. At no time was the student’s lack of understanding the student’s fault. Dr. Griffin could always find a second or third approach to illustrate the point." Charles was an engineering manager in the field of microwave components. He and his wife, Ruth, a registered nurse, had nine children.
