Wilmer Albert Cummins ’51

Will earned a BA in physics from ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó, writing a thesis on the electromagnetic theory with Prof. William Parker [physics 1948–79]. After graduating, he took a position as a particle beam researcher at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Washington and then was employed with General Electric in Riverside, California, where he met his wife, Catherine. Will studied computer programming at UC Berkeley and worked for the Sperry Gyroscope Company, the Rand Corporation, and Litton Data Systems. He was a consultant from the time of his retirement in the mid-’90s to 2007. Survivors include three sons and six grandchildren. His wife died in 2003.
