Security Operations Center Analyst
Location: ETC 110
Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday
What I Do:
- Collaborate and support cybersecurity, infrastructure, and other IT staff on the configuration and monitoring of systems and user endpoints
- Work in conjunction with the cybersecurity team in addressing Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE's), patch management functions and active threat hunting.
- Lead Windows and Mac endpoint security by ensuring college-owned devices are patched and running a supported OS
- Lead Windows endpoint deployment and management by creating and maintaining base images, group policies, software policies, and scripts
- Coordinate incident response communication efforts with IT staff, ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó community, and vendors
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, other IT staff, and HR on annual security training for employees
- Provide top-tier technical support for faculty, staff, and students (in person, and via phone, email, chat, and screenshare) including OS and application troubleshooting
- Assist with recruiting, training and mentoring of student employees
- Assist with the development and maintenance of IT policies and procedures
- Be available for 24/7 rotational work in monitoring systems and responding to outages
